Writing Proverbs 25
Good morning… I am back after a week with our grandkids. I knew it would not be easy to continue my normal schedule, so I didn’t even try. We only get to see them once or twice a year, so I decided to let them mess up my schedule for the week. But I am back now…
“Take away the dross from the silver,
proverbs 25:4-5
and the smith has material for a vessel;
take away the wicked from the presence of the king,
and his throne will be established in righteousness.”
When I read this verse, it makes me think of cleaning up my house. It is hard to have my home established in righteousness if it is cluttered up with sin and wickedness. This is a constant battle for me as I let sin in, only to have to sweep it back out later on. It is easy to let my spiritual life get cluttered up. I am so thankful the Lord forgives us and helps us sweep it all back out.
