Writing Proverbs 24

Good morning…

“Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him.”

proverbs 24:17-18

How tempting is it to be happy when someone we dislike falls? Do I say, “well they disserved that”? The bible says just the opposite.

“You have heard that it was said,
‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:43-45

Some of the things we are instructed to do as Christians are hard. This is one of them. But through the Love of Jesus, we can do it.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
