Writing Luke 24

Good morning, I know it is Saturday but I just could not help it. I had the urge to finish Luke and decided it was best to follow it than to turn it away. It almost felt sinful to fight it. I am so glad I decided to finish it.

The last chapter of Luke…. The resurrection of Jesus… Yesterday’s chapter was full of pain and sorrow. Today’s chapter started off with confusion and then the joy and peace crept in as His followers realized that He was alive and what it meant. Such joy they must have felt.

In verses 36 and 37, they were so afraid and probably confused. I can see myself feeling this way on the day I stand before the Lord. I hope to see his kind eyes look down on me and speak like He did to them:

‘Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see. ‘

Oh the day that I get to see my Lord. What a day that will be. I am so thankful that He came here to save us.

I sure hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!
