Writing Exodus 38

Good morning…

“He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. Five cubits was its length, and five cubits its breadth. It was square, and three cubits was its height. “

exodus 38:1

I am in awe. I keep in mind that all of these altars, lamps, the ark, pillars, curtains, etc, had to go with them, each time they moved from camp to camp for 40 years. The altar of burnt offering was 7.5 ft long and 7.5 ft wide and 4.5 ft tall. That is almost taller than me. 🙂 This didn’t include the court around it. Many of the pieces were overlaid in bronze or silver or gold, making them heavier than they would be if it were just the acacia wood. This altar in particular was transported by poles that went through rings on the sides of the altar. How heavy would an altar that is 7.5 ft square and 4.5 ft tall be that was covered in bronze? I bet the men who transported it were taller than me. This must have been an amazing sight to see.

I love seeing the details.

Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
