Writing Exodus 37

Good morning…

“Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half was its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.”

Exodus 37:1

A ‘cubit’…. What is a cubit? I keep seeing it but the measurement hasn’t sunk into my brain.

A cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters.

So the ark was 2 cubits and a half long (45 inches), and a cubit and a half its breadth (27 inches), and a cut and a half tall (27 inches).

All of these little bitty details can get blurry when I just read through them and don’t look them up. Thankfully they were not blurry to Bezalel. He took a lot of care to be sure everything was made just as God had commanded.

Try to read a few verses today!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
