Writing Psalm 119:49-104
Good morning.. As I was writing a word kept popping up.. statutes.. Then it changed and another word popped up… precepts… These are in reference to ‘God’s statutes’ and ‘God’s precepts’. The writer of this Psalm puts a lot of focus on what God says and uses it in his life for guidance, for structure, and for his lively hood. He even says:
“The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.”
Psalm 114:72
So it is even more important than riches…
He even asks for help to learn them:
“Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.”
Psalm 114:73
There is only one way to learn what God wants, and that is to hear it or to read it. I started out listening to the Bible, than moved on to reading it. Now I am writing it. Hopefully through all of this, I can learn it. But only with God’s help. Maybe you are reading it, too.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
