“But the Lord said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have given him into your hand, and all his people, and his land. And you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

Sometimes I need a reminder, and the Lord is great to remind me.
The Lord had to remind Moses of what had just happened. There are so many times that things are repeated over and over in the Bible. We are a hard-headed and forgetful people just like the Israelites. I am thankful for the reminders.
