Writing Numbers 20
Good evening…
“Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.” “
Numbers 20:10-12
Have I ever forgotten to uphold the Lord in the eyes of the people around me? I don’t even think that question needs answering. There are so many times I needed to mention God and either didn’t even think of it, or chose not to. It is sad. Moses and Aaron faced some hard consequences because of this one event. I can see Moses being so frustrated with the people, that he was not thinking clearly. I need to remember that there can be hard consequences to me not mentioning God.. There is a promise land that I am trying to get to. Hopefully, I can get there and you can too.
