Writing Luke 2 (3/9/2023)

Good morning, I am already noticing some of the differences in Luke’s writing compared to Matthew and Mark. Luke includes so many details that Matthew and Mark didn’t have. Writing it really does make you pay closer attention to some things.

I can’t get through this chapter without bringing up Mary and Joseph loosing Jesus. If you are a parent who has lost (not in death) your child and was frantic trying to find them, you can imagine how they felt… I have lost both of my kids at different times. Two of those times I had to ask for help to find them. One of those times we even had to call in the fire department. The thoughts that went through my mind as we searched were so hard and I found myself crippled and unable to know what to do next. I could not even imagine searching for 3 days.

Well, guess whose child we are. When we are lost guess who is looking for us to come back into the light so He can see us. I cannot imagine God’s sadness as His children are lost in this world of darkness. Just as I waited for my children to come out of the woods on those 2 separate occasions, God waits for us to come out of the darkness. He is waiting there with open arms, just as I waited for mine.

God is so Good.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
