Writing John 9

Good morning. As I was writing this chapter, I see that these Pharisees just don’t give up. After arguing in chapter 8 with Jesus, now they spend the whole chapter 9 arguing with a man that was born blind that can now see. They even got his parents involved. Real quick I learn a couple of things: 1. Don’t be so stubborn. Be willing to honestly look at what is before me. Open my eyes. 2. Be willing to defend the Lord no matter how much pressure I am receiving.

The man continued to defend the Lord even though he didn’t know exactly who the Lord was. But He did know that He had to be of God. I love his defense in verses 30-33:

“Why, this is an amazing thing! You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him. Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

Let me keep my eyes open!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
