Writing John 15

Good morning, we have reached another Friday. What a strong chapter. The Lord makes it clear that those who follow Him need to be active and producing. If we are not then we will be thrown away into a fire and burned. But those who follow Him will be a part of him and cared for and helped so that they may produce more. It is up to me to choose if I want to be a part of His vine or not.

In the following verses, He gives His commandment of love and says such loving words to His disciples:

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.”

Oh, such beautiful words. I want to be His friend. Such a humbling feeling. We all know the feeling we get when someone close to us tells us that they consider us a friend (special, dear to them, in their heart). Now imagine Jesus saying that to you. To know He chose me. Will I choose Him also?

God is so Good!!

I sure hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
