Writing Exodus 27
Good afternoon…
“You shall command the people of Israel that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, that a lamp may be regularly be set up to burn. In the tent of meeting, outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute forever to be observed throughout their generations by the people of Israel.”
exodus 27:20-21
I do enjoy reading little facts that we find in the Bible. Here is one about the lamps that were used in the sanctuary. They used olive oil as a fuel for the lamps. Today we use olive oil for food. I imagine they used it for food too. I don’t know. But now I know that if I need to make a lamp, I can use my olive oil to fuel it.
