Writing Exodus 18

Good morning…

“Moses went out to meet his father-in-law and bowed down and kissed him. And they asked each other of their welfare and the went into the tent. Then Moses told his father-in-law all that the Lord had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, and all the hardship that had come upon them in the way, and how the Lord had delivered them.”

exodus 18:7-8

Moses could have met with Jethro, his father-in-law, and stood straight up and told him all that he had done for the Israelites. But he did not. The first thing he did was bowed down to Jethro, showed his respect for his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. Then as he told Jethro what the Lord had done, not what he had done.

I can definitely take a lesson here. Any good that may be done, I am able to do because of the Lord. It is not me… That is a big lesson.

Try to read a few verses today!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
