Writing Exodus 17
Good morning…
So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. Whenever Mosses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hand grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.”
exodus 17:10-13
As I was reading this and reflecting on these verses, it made me think of my independence. That is right my independence. You know the thoughts that I can do things on my own, I don’t need anyone’s help except the Lord. Just me and the Lord.
These verses show a clear picture of how Moses needed help. Yes the Lord with with him, but it took them all to play a part in order for them to defeat the Amalekites. We see this all through Exodus. Moses needed help to save the people.
I need help… I cannot walk this Christian path alone. I am thankful for my Christian husband and my Church family. When I am weak, they can help hold my hands up. Whey they are weak, I can hold their hands up. In the end, we can all see our Lord in heaven one day.
Thank you Lord for the help of our brothers and sisters so that we can have help doing your will!!
