Writing Ecclesiastes 3

Good morning… A time for everything…

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.”

ecclesiastes 3:1-8

As I was writing these verses, I could think of most of these times in my life. I think I have experienced them all. Keeping in mind, my war-time was not a battle with swords or guns, thankfully. But, there were times that I felt like I was at war with those around me.

I love the beginning of verse 11:

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

ecclesiastes 3:11

This reminds me that even in the ‘bad’ times they are beautiful. Why? We have to have one to appreciate the others. We learn from all of our life, not just what we call ‘the good parts’.

I need to embrace all my seasons, remembering to move on to the next season. I hope I don’t ever get stuck in one and forget to move forward.

Don’t forget to read a bit of the Bible today!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
