Writing Deuteronomy 2
“And the time from our leaving Kadesh-barnea until we crossed the brook Zered was thirty-eight years, until the entire generation, that is the men of war, had perished from the camp, as the Lord had sworn to them.”
Deuteronomy 2:14
I love when the Bible answers my questions. I just had to read a little more. I had stated a few chapters before that I wasn’t sure if the forty years included the first year or so before they reached the promise land the first time and now I have my answer. The forty years was from the time they left Egypt until they reached the promised land the second time. 🙂 Now I know for sure, until I forget it again. Because that is just how my memory goes. Thankfully, I can always go back and read it again to learn it. We are blessed to have these words written for us to read and reread.
