Writing 2 Samuel 18
Good morning…
“And the king was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept. And as he went, he said, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!”
2 samuel 18:33
As we read this chapter, we see the reaction David has to the loss of his third son. All of the deaths were different. The first one died of an illness, the second one was killed by his brother, and the third was killed in battle for taking over his kingdom. All were his children.
I imagine with his third son, Absalom, there were a lot more emotions because of the betrayal and sadness over the whole situation.
We will grieve, we will grieve differently, all grief is normal. But we also have to live.
Try to read a few verses from the Bible today!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
