Writing 2 Peter 2
Good morning. Today’s reading brings my attention to false teachers. There have been teachers from the beginning of time. Those who teach truth and those who do not. I try to do my best to let the Bible do the teaching. I don’t even want to categorize myself as a teacher. I just like to write and encourage others to read the Word of God.
There are some really scary words when it talks about false teachers.
They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls.
2 peter 2:14
They have hearts trained in greed.
But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing.
2 Peter 2:12-13
I hope that I neither become a false teacher, nor get caught up by false teaching. May I continue to look to the Word of God for the truth….
