Writing 2 Peter 1

Good morning. Another small book. Peter is writing to ‘those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ’, fellow Christians. I guess I better listen up. 🙂

He starts with some strong verses:

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-8

Another verse that I cannot help but mention is:

for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:10-11

Did you see those qualities that these people took on? It is wonderful to know that if I can work on these things, then I never have to worry about my faith falling. I will know that I will go through the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord. I do like to be reminded of the qualities I hope to have. It helps me to try to stay focused.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
