Writing 1 Peter 3

Good morning. This is a chapter that I can look into myself and see how I am doing. My strengths and where I could use a bit more help. I do like how the writer focuses on each spouse separately, but then focuses on us all.

Finally, all of you, have the unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For
“Whoever desires to love life and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

1 peter 3:8-12

One might ask themselves, why should I focus on these things? Here is another verse that helps me.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous from the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

1 peter 3:18

Christ suffered on this earth for me so that he might bring me to God. Doing His will is just a small thing I can do to say thank you for all that He did for me. If He had not came to this earth, suffered, and died, and was raised, then I would not be able to brought to the Father because of my sins. What a blessing.

Guess what….. He suffered for you too.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
