Writing Numbers 19
Good evening… I haven’t been great about my writing lately. I have allowed little things to get in the way. I am going to try to be better. We will see. On to chapter 19….
“Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days. He shall cleanse himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and so be clean. But if he does not cleanse himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not become clean. “
numbers 19:11-12
These commands that the Israelites had are foreign to us. As Christians we do not have to worry about touching a dead body, or be cleansed with the water of impurity. The only uncleanness we have to worry about is from sinful acts. As a sinner, we are commanded to repent and be baptized. And as a Christian, if we sin we have a commandment to repent of our sins. Through Jesus’s sacrifice we are made whole and clean. Only His blood can cleanse us now.
