Writing Genesis 41

Good morning…

“Before the year of famine came, two sons were born to Joseph. Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore them to him. Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh. “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all of my hardship and all my father’s house.” The name of the second he called Ephraim, “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”

Genesis 41:50-52

Joseph could see the blessings of the pain and suffering he had endured. He was second highest in command of all of Egypt. He had a family and was blessed with two boys.

No matter how low I can be brought down, the Lord will stay with me. I hope to keep in mind the blessings that I will receive, if not on this earth, then I will still have everlasting life with the Father later on. But even on this earth, He will be with me and guide me, and hold me in my suffering until He brings me home to Him.
