Writing Psalm 62-63
Good morning…
“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
Psalm 5-7
He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.”
“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you ; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
Psalm 63:1
As I was writing today, I remembered a time when I was a child. Things were not good. I would hide under my bed with my flashlight and read Psalms. I know I was older than 10 but younger than 14. I didn’t really know what I was reading, but I can’t help but feel that these words got into my heart and helped me on the not so good days. It helped me so much that when I went to live with my dad in Ohio I asked to go to church. Thankfully, he took me and then my journey started in finding out who God is.
I am still on that journey as I read and write the Bible. I hope I can continue to grow closer to Him as long as I am on this earth, so that I can be with Him in heaven after my life on this earth is ended. Another hope that I have is that you, all of you reading and those not reading, will read a bit of the Bible each day. That way you too can grow closer to Him.
On God rests ‘our’ salvation…..
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
