Writing Psalm 108 and 109

Good morning. Sometimes as I read through the verses in the Bible, I see words that I would describe as harsh. Today is an example in Psalm 109.

“May his days be few; may another take his office!
May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow!
May his children wander about and beg, seeking food far from the ruins they inhabit!
May the creditor seize all that he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his toil!
Let there be none to extend kindness to him, nor any to pity his fatherless children!”

Psalm 109:8-12

I know that David lived a different life and a different time that I have. It is hard for me to understand a warriors mind. A warriors mind in the time of the Old Testament. These verses are hard for me. To be honest, I hope that will never have or understand these verses. I hope that when I have enemies, I will always pray that they will be softened, forgiven, and loved. Especially for their children…

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
