Writing Numbers 26
Good morning…
“This was the list of the people of Israel, 601,730.”
Numbers 26:43
“So all those listed of the people of Israel, by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war in Israel— all those listed were 603,550.
Numbers 1:45-46
Of course I had to go back and compare the number of people that began in the wilderness to the number of people who were going into the promised land. Don’t forget that:
“But among these there was not one of those listed by the Moses and Aaron the priest, who had listed the people of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. For the Lord had said of them, “They shall die in the wilderness.” Not one of them was left, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Num.”

So this was an entirely different people, save 2. This is incredible to me. Even though they were wandering in the wilderness they continued to multiply. It is amazing what God can do.
