Writing Matthew 16 (1/23/2023)
Good morning, I had a bit of trouble relaxing and focusing this morning. So, this is probably the best thing for me, remembering to relax and focus on God’s word. In Chapter 16, we see that the disciples are still having trouble understanding what Jesus is telling them. They believe He is the Son of God but they don’t understand what that means. They don’t understand what He will have to give up. They don’t understand what they will have to give up. Do I understand what I have to give up? I see verses 24-28, do I fully comprehend them? I am afraid, like the disciples, I lack understanding. There are so many things in this world that I try to hold on to. I need to hold on to Jesus.
