Writing Mark 2 (2/13/2023)
Good morning. As I am writing today, I go back to those wonderful Pharisees. The religious sect, following Jesus around watching everything He did. I imagine they did this to everyone, watching with their trained critical eye. Watching and waiting to catch anyone doing anything wrong so that they can point it out and correct them. Of course they did this for their own good.
I can see my own critical eye… How many times have I seen others do things differently and it catches my eye? The closer the person is to me the more critical I tend to be. I like to remind myself that ‘my way is not the only way’. I know that I tend to be a critical thinker and fight this daily. For me details and order are important. At times it has definitely caused problems when others do things differently. I will keep working in it. Praying about it. I don’t want to be like the Pharisees and miss out on Jesus because I have blinded myself or others with my critical eyes.
