Writing Leviticus 23
Good morning…
“The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.”
leviticus 23:1-2
Today is definition time.
convocation: (n.) 1. a group gathered in response to a summons; 2. the act of convoking; calling together;
In this chapter the Lord repeats this word for each of the feasts. They were to gather together as a people during these times. Not only were they to gather together, but they were to have a holy convocation, a gathering in the name of the Lord. This wasn’t just a regular get together.
I am thankful we can still have holy convocations today. God is so Good!!
