Writing Leviticus 20 and 21
Good evening…
“And if the people of the land do at all close their eyes to that man when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death, then I will set my face against that man and against his clan and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in whoring after Molech.”
leviticus 20:4-5
This is definitely a different time. I don’t know of anyone who would sacrifice their child to a god and cannot imagine that at all. But I do know and have ‘closed my eyes’ to the wrong that goes on around me. It is so easy to ‘look the other way’ in this world. I have even found that I do it with my own sins. Instead of asking for forgiveness, I just go on as if it didn’t happen. I need to open my eyes more. I need to see what God wouldn’t approve of. I especially need to open my eyes to the things that I do or don’t do. Afterall, I don’t want God to set His face against me.
God is so good to send His perfect Son to this world to save us. I should give Him the respect He disserves.
