Writing Joshua 24
Good morning.. The end of another book in the Bible. I am so thankful I have been able to continue this journey.
As I was writing today’s chapter I couldn’t help but focus on verse 15.
“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
joshua 24:15
So often I hear the last phrase of that verse emphasized, but I like the rest of the verse. It shows that we are given a choice. I am thankful for my choice. I am not forced to follow anyone, it is a choice. I also believe that since we are given a choice, then I should respect the decision other people make.
