Writing John 5
Good morning. We have reached another Friday and so far a day with blue skies. In this chapter, Jesus begins by healing the paralyzed man at the pool, but then he spends the rest of the chapter sharing who He is and that He was there to do the Father’s will not His own. I feel like He was pleading with them, I have to feel like He is pleading with us too. He wants us to know who sent him. He wants us to read the Scriptures and see, He wants us to listen to Moses, and John the Baptist. He wants us to listen to God through His words. He wants us to see, He is Jesus, the Son of God, Salvation.
The last verse makes me a bit sad, “But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?” The people of that time did not believe the Scriptures. Just as people of this time don’t believe them.
But some will, just as some did. The light will shine.
