Writing John 21
Good morning, the last chapter in John. I can visualize this chapter so easily. The men on their boat, Jesus telling them to cast their net, them realizing after seeing the fish that it was Jesus on the shore, Peter rushing to go see him, all of them sitting around the fire listening to Jesus. What joy they must have felt being back with the Lord yet again.
There have been times I made distance between me and the Lord. Times that I went through my days doing regular daily things and didn’t think much about the Lord. I was busy, hectic, or just wasn’t focused. But on the days, that I come back to Him, sit with Him, read about Him, I find joy and comfort. Oh what a blessing.
As they sat, Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him. He asked him 3 times. I put myself in Peter’s sandals, I would probably just cry at the first time He asked me. So many times I choose other things before choosing the ways of the Lord. Do I love the Lord? I do. Then why do the things in this life get in the way? For me, I am still growing. I am thankful the Lord gives me this time to grow. I am thankful He knows I am not perfect and He came here to die for us because we are not perfect and never can be.
God is so Good!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!!
