Writing Hebrews 9
Good morning. As I have gone through these chapters one by one, I have noticed that this writer ‘needs’ me to know who Christ is and the difference between the new and the old covenant. I can sense the strong desire to hope that the readers will finally see who Jesus is and what He can do for us. I do like how this chapter ends. Coincidently, a preacher was talking about this verse last night. I can’t help but bring it out today:
“so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting on him.”
When Christ was here before, he was here as a sacrifice for our sins. Next time He comes He will be here to guide those who are waiting on Him home. Will you be eagerly waiting on Him?
