Writing Genesis 22
Good morning…
“He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”
Genesis 22:12
This is a hard chapter to read. Especially for those of us who have children. I cannot imagine being put in this situation of sacrificing my child. I am thankful that I was not asked to do this. As I read these words though, I can’t have but think of Jesus. God did not withhold His Son. His Son was sacrificed for us, for our sins, so that we could be joined with Him in heaven one day.
I am so thankful for the sacrifice and for the Words of God so that we know what He sacrificed for us.
God is so Good!!
