Writing Genesis 2
Good morning…
“So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said,
Genesis 2:21-23
“This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
I find this to be a beautiful scene. I can see the love Adam had for his wife, his helpmate. She was truly special. Adam was made out of the dust of the earth, but Eve was made from the flesh and bone of Adam. He felt a true connection because of it. Such a beautiful picture.
To have a helpmate, and to be a helpmate is truly a blessing. Treat them as a blessing. I gotta work on that. 🙂
