Writing Exodus 3
Good morning…
And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.”
exodus 3:2
Over the years I have seen this scene played out on the tv screen in cartoons and movies. Each time the bush is small only a few feet high in my memory. But in reality bushes can be quite big. If I don’t trim my bushes in the fall, they will grow taller than my house. When I looked up bush sizes, some were quite big, 12 feet and some even 30 feet. So, this bush could have been any size. It was noticeable enough that Moses seen it and it got his attention enough to turn to go check it out better.
“And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”

As I read the Bible, I like to correct any preconceived thoughts that I might have in my mind. Thoughts that I may have picked up from my past but aren’t really from the Bible. Like this itty bitty bush in my mind, needs to be replaced with a bush of any size. It may seem like a little detail, but I feel my mind is full of little details that may not be completely correct when it comes to the Word of God, the Bible. That is why I need to keep reading it.
I am so thankful for God’s Words.
