Writing Exodus 16:1-12
Good morning, only a few verses today…
“And Moses said, “when the Lord gives you in the evening meat to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the Lord has heard your grumbling that you grumble against him– what are we? Your grumbling is not against us but against the Lord.”
exodus 16:8
“Your grumbling is not against us but against the Lord.” Are there times that my grumbling is not against things in this world, but are really against the Lord? This definitely makes me take a step back and think about my grumblings. As I grumble about a situation that I am in, am I really grumbling against the Lord? I can read about the Israelites and see the bigger picture, but in the moment, they could not. Can that be said about myself? Does the grumbling get me anywhere? Maybe the Lord hears my grumbling and will comfort me just as he did the Israelites. Will I appreciate it or will I just find another reason to grumble? It definitely makes me think.
