Writing Ephesians 1
Good morning, I am starting another book today, Ephesians, a letter Paul wrote to the Church in Ephesus. Paul starts out pointing out how special those in Christ are. If you are a Christian it is nice to read this chapter and see what God did for us and how we are blessed. If you are not a Christian then you can see what blessings you can have by following the Lord.
“In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.”
I love to read about my adoption. Adoption is a choice. God chose to take me in as His child through Jesus Christ. Through Jesus blood, Christians have received the “forgiveness of our trespasses”. I have received the forgiveness of my trespasses! To know that I will be in heaven someday united with the Father and the Son is a blessing I have here on earth. I have the hope of heaven where there will be no death, no sickness, no pain, no suffering, no darkness. But most of all God the Father and Jesus who gave us life and love. Sounds like a wonderful place. Do you want to go too?
