Writing 2 Kings 6 and 7
Good morning…
“For when the man of God had said to the king, ” Two seahs of barley shall be sold for a shekel, and a seah of fine flour for a shekel, about this time tomorrow in the gate of Samaria,” the captain had answered the man of God, “If the Lord himself should make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?” And he had said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” And so it happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gate and he died.”
2 kings 718-20
This captain did not believe that the Lord could make this happen. These people were so hungry and suffering that it seemed impossible. Sadly, he didn’t get to benefit from the impossible work that the Lord did for the people.
Do I believe the promises the Lord has said in the Bible that pertain to me as a Christian? Do I really believe in salvation? Do I believe I can go to a better place? Do I believe in a time of judgment?
It definitely makes one think about things? Will I be like this captain and see the Glory of God but not be able to enjoy its fruits?
Try to read a few verses from the Bible!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
