Writing 2 Corinthians 7

Good morning. Again Paul catches my attention with his tenderness. I know I have read this book before but I don’t think I ever took the time to see his heart. I have always thought of King David when I thought of a tender heart. But now to look closer at Paul’s writings and to see how he felt about the people he was writing to and the people he was writing about, I see his heart.

Make room in your hearts for us.”

“I do not say this to condemn you, for I said before that you are in our heart, to die together and to live together”

“I have great pride in you: I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy.”

And more:

“and not only by his coming but also by the comfort with which he was comforted by you, as he told us of your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced still more.”

“For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, but also what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what punishment!”

“Therefore we are comforted”

“because his spirit has been refreshed by you all. For whatever boasts I made to him about you, I was not put to shame. But just as everything we said to you was true, so also our boasting before Titus was proved true. And His affection for you is even greater, as he remembers the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling. I rejoice, because I have complete confidence in you.”

He truly loved these people. I really should learn how to share my heart with those around me. It is not something I am good at.

I will continue to remember it takes us all to make one body. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Through time some of our weaknesses can turn into strengths. Maybe this is a weakness I can work on and maybe it can be a strength in the future.

I sure hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
