Good evening… The beginning of a new book… 🙂
“And she vowed a bow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget you servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”
1 Samuel 1:11
“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.”
1 samuel 1:27-28
To pray for hard for something only to let it go. She made a vow and she kept it. I don’t know if I could have been so strong. God did His part and so did she. I can definitely can take a lesson from this.
