Writing 1 Thessalonians 4

Good morning, the last chapter of 1Thessalonians. As I wrote this chapter I could see the faith Paul had in these people and the faith he hoped they would continue to have. As he encouraged them, they encouraged him. I always like to see what Paul will say at the end of his letters so that he can motivate them to stay on tract and this letter was no different:

“Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all . See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise the prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”

These are great words for me to stay on tract. Life would be so much more peaceful if we could only heed what the words in the New Testament say to us. Would our lives be trouble free, pain free, sin free, sickness free? No. But our souls would be at peace. As Paul says:

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”

For a peaceful mind and soul, follow the Lord!!

God is so Good!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!
