Writing 1 Samuel 3 and 4
Good afternoon…
“And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.”
1 Samuel 3:10
In this chapter, the Lord called Samuel 4 times before Samuel answered. You see, Samuel didn’t realize it was the Lord calling him. Once he did, then he answered and listened. It makes me wonder if I would know if the Lord was speaking to me. I know He speaks to me through His Word, but am I really listening? Do I read through the Bible and assume He is speaking to someone else? Or do I realize He is speaking to me?
