Writing 1 Kings 8:1-21
Good evening… Since this chapter is so long I am dividing it up.
“And he said, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who with his hand has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to David my father, saying, ‘Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel.'”
1 kings 8:15-16
I can read of the extent that Solomon went to, to build the house of the Lord. But I can also look in scripture to see his heart and reasoning for building it. He built it not for his own glory, but for the God who fulfilled the promises He made to His people.
