Writing 1 John 5
Good morning. The last chapter of the book of 1 John. As I reach the end I can’t help but look back and notice that this book keeps me thinking about God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Who are they? Are they important to you? Are they important to me? This little book tells me why they are important to all of us. They bring us eternal life. A life that we can know that we have:
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 5:13
I do love this verse towards the end of the book:
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
1 John 5:20
