Writing 1 Corinthians 4
Good morning. In this chapter, I see Paul as a humble servant. He is not puffed up and bragging about his apostleship or the other apostles. He is doing just the opposite.
I have not had to suffer the things that the apostles had to suffer. I think I am closer to the other description he gives, “Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! Without us you have become kings!” I have to be careful and not be too comfortable in this world that I forget about my spiritual life. I need to be an imitator of Christ, just as Paul was. Something I need to work on daily.
The last verse I imagine coming from the Lord’s mouth…
“What do you wish? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with the love in a spirit of gentleness?”
Oh, how often He should come to me with a rod!!! Yet I get the spirit of gentleness..
God is so Good!!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!
