Writing 1 Corinthians 15
Good morning. This is a good chapter to slow down and take your time to read. If I try to rush through it my mind gets a bit lost and I miss out on some of the beauty that is shown. I love the illustration in the verses 35-38.
“But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?” You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And to what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. But God give it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.”
I imagine by physical body dying here, and it will be watered, nurtured and will grow and blossom into its spiritual, imperishable body. A body that God has chosen for me. Oh what a day that will be.
I also love the way this chapter ends giving me strength and hope to keep going:
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
‘Oh Lord, help me to not live for the perishable, but for the imperishable.’
God is so Good!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!
