Writing Romans 6
Good morning, I am a little early but I have a full schedule for the day. I probably won’t be able to post tomorrow but hopefully I will be back on Thursday.
In this chapter we see 2 categories, slaves of sin and slaves of righteousness. What do we fall under? This is a choice. Paul is writing to Christians, those who had been baptized. He explains a bit about baptism and what it meant. Maybe they needed to understand it a bit better. Those who are baptized should no longer be slaves of sin, but should now be slaves of righteousness. I like how the last verse seems to sum it up:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus out Lord.”
Here is that ‘free gift’ again. So, what is it? Eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!!
Choose the Lord!!
