Writing Acts 13
Good morning, I missed a couple of days last week with the grandkids. I did good for the first three days but as Thursday came along I was not able to keep up with it all. Friday I didn’t even try. So, today I am back with chapter 13. I am so thankful for another day to get back on track.
In this chapter, we see Paul and Barnabas working together to bring God’s word to the people. After yet another attempt the Jews continue to resist. Boldly, Paul and Barnabas speak to them and say:
“It was necessary that they word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.”
This can be a lesson for us. We are offered God’s word and we have a choice to take it and receive eternal life or to turn away from it and be lost. I hope your choice is to receive eternal life. We are so blessed to be offered this gift from our Lord.
