Writing John 6

Good morning, we have reached another Monday morning. With this Monday morning came a long chapter, 71 verses. Luckily, I didn’t have anything scheduled so that I was able to do the entire chapter in one morning. I did have to pause to let the meowing cat outside.

As another side note, another pen ran out of ink during today’s writing. I am on pen # 10. That is right I have gone through ten pens. Pen number nine was a tough one, it was not smooth at all, I am thankful it ran out.

Onto the chapter. In chapter 6 there are a lot of hard to understand verses, even the disciples had trouble understanding. A lot of His followers left and when home after his teaching. I am thankful that in verse 63 He explains that He was talking about Spirit and not flesh. But even after that they did not understand.

There are a few verses that give me comfort:

37 “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me will never cast out.”

40 “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

68-69 “Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

I am so thankful that God sent His Son to this earth to feed us manna from heaven so that we can have eternal life. Lets choose to keep following Him and not turn away.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!
